Skincare routine seems like a task to maintain until one actually adapts a simple way to do it. I have been one of those people who never cared about their skin or had a whole routine down for that matter. But when I did try these basic steps, it really helped my skin look its best. So, I have listed the simplest steps below that you can go through to have a skincare routine.
Please read – Why is having a skincare routine important
The first and foremost task is to get the dirt off your face. Clean skin equals clear skin. Use a face wash that suits you best to get the dirt off of the whole day and have a squeaky clean face. I use Simple Kind To Skin Moisturising Facial Wash. But, I also use Nivea facewash. It’s easily available anywhere.
After patting your face dry, pour some rose water on a cotton pad and gently wipe off your skin. You can also pat it on your skin. Don’t wipe off harshly. I only use rose water, but if you have a toner already you can use it. Toning helps in keeping your pores all closed up.
Using a serum is an optional part of a Skincare routine but if you find a serum that suits your skin you definitely should add it. There is a whole market of face serums available to cater to a host of issues like – anti-aging, acne, dullness, age spots, dryness….. you get the point. I use Nykaa’s skin potion facial oil for my dry skin.
Moisturiser is another important part of the whole process because it helps in locking the hydration. I have super dry skin so I use Loreal’s Hydra Fresh Anti-Ox Aqua Balm. It’s a really good moisturizer for dry skin. I have used all kinds of moisturizers but this one definitely helps my skin not get flaky.
An important part of your skincare routine includes taking care of your under eyes. And if you also want to keep your eyes bright and youthful on should use an eye cream. And as it is said, a little goes a long way. I use Biotique Bio Sea Weed Revitalizing Anti Fatigue Eye Gel. Gently dap the product into the delicate area around the eyes.
Lip balm is loved by us girls. Its always there in our bags to help our lips stay hydrated. Even if we don’t use lipstick we definitely do use a lip balm. I use a Laneige lip mask. You can read my review of it here. But, you can use your regular lip balm as well. I personally love the Maybelline ones and use them religiously.
I hope after reading this you now understand just how easy it is to have a skincare routine and start giving your skin the much needed pamper session it well deserves!
Hope you like it! xx
